When I add new car using the Autos module, I select a featured image of the car that is ~1200px big) but once published, the theme is using a low resolution image (640px) and stretches it to 750px. Why? Or how to change that? Also the theme is generating sooo many different image sizes of each file…is there any way to control this?
Hi.
Please, give me problem page url, admin and ftp access.
Thanks.
Hi.
Check your file autozone/library/theme/index.php. Line with autozone-auto-single should be like this: http://take.ms/5llic
Change it and than try to Regenerate Thumbnails http://take.ms/tX93N
Thanks.
Hmm, I have the file set up just like that, see:
So I clicked the regenerate thumbnails button, but that didn’t help. Still when I go to auto details, the main photo is using 640×480 image that is stretched to 750×563 pixels and looks blurry.
Also, before doing all of this – I noticed that the logo, menu structure, footer etc. got all changed to default values! That was quite a surprise, how is that possible? I checked logs and it was only me and you who logged in during last few days…. did you change anything like that?
How.
I have dynamic IP address. Can you disable the permission control at the time and give me ftp access?
Thanks.
Unfortunately that is not possible and is out of my control 🙁
It’s really strange. When I check the official demo, the images are OK. But I know that I havent made any changes to the source code of the template files, so why is it using lowres photo and stretching it to bigger dimensions… :/
I change autozone-auto-single to medium in single-pixad-autos.php and now it looks good.
Please, check.
Thanks.
Hmmm but now it is taking the original photo (4032 px) and scaling it down to 750 px – which is not ideal as well (takes a while for the photo to be loaded). It should jsut take something closest to 750px (same res or slightly higher) and use that….
Did you add any code with update default image sizes options? Because standart size ‘large’ doesn’t work.
Thanks.
Hmmmm I think I found what was wrong. In wordpress->settings->media I had 0 (zero) in every of the available image sizes there. So i put 150 for thumbnails, 800 for mid sized and 1200 for high res and now it looks ok!
Image resolution too low in car details
