Hello, on the catalog page and the individual vehicle pages, when selecting a range of dates, it shows the TOTAL for that range and not the cost per night. This is very confusing and could lead a renter to believe that the TOTAL cost is actually the NIGHTLY cost. Also, if they select dates that have conditional pricing, there is no way for them to know that the price per night has changed due to the conditional rate. Is there a way to have the rate show the nightly rate instead of the total? If so, then on the actual vehicle page, it would need to show the nightly price as well as the total for the selected dates. Please advise.
Any update to this? If this isn’t an available feature, could you please advise which PHP file contains the code that generates the “blue box” price on the catalog page as well as the price in the right sidebar on the vehicle page? I’ll look into making manual adjustments to the code myself. Thanks!
Update the theme. We have added a field where you can enter the text that will be displayed in the price field in the product grid. In this field, you can enter the price per night. We can’t display the price per night there, because if we use conditional price, the selected range may include prices from different price ranges per night.
Alexey, just another idea here: on the big RV rental sites here in the USA (Outdoorsy and RVshare), they just put the average price / night across the date range. So, for example, if there were 4 nights at $200/night and 3 nights at $150/night, that would be a total of $1250 across 7 nights, for an average of $158.57 / night.
See attached screenshot for how Outdoorsy formats it. It’s very clever and very clear to the user. You’ll note that the large price is rounded to the nearest dollar, with the exact price down below.

You must be logged in to view attached files.FYI, on the example screenshot, the dates selected span two conditional dates: One night at $195/night and two nights at $215/night. Average is $208.33/night
Well, we will think about this option if this practice is common.
Thanks. This practice is the same across the two big sites that do this in USA: RVshare.com and Outdoorsy.com. Don’t know how it is in Europe. I would appreciate your considering this option. It would greatly help my site.
Thanks!
Show nightly rate instead of total
