I purchased the theme and built the site using a temporary domain. When I changed the domain to the actual/real domain it is not asking me to put in the key again. But when I put in my key it says it’s already used and I need to deactivate it. But I can’t do that because it’s the same site, it’s just connected to a different domain and that old domain wasn’t a real domain just a place holder server domain.
I need for my key to work so I can re-register the site with the theme.
Private Content HiddenHello.
Please deactivate the first site to activate on the second .
Thanks.
I can’t deactivate the old side. It’s the same site with a different domain. Same WP backend. Same everything.
I can’t deactivate the old side.
Why?
It’s the same site with a different domain.
If it has a different domain name then it is a different site and logically you need a different licence or you need to deactivate the old site before changing it.
Same WP backend. Same everything.
By your logic, all of our customers have the same backend and may have one customer key.
Thakns.
It’s the same site. I created a WordPress installation in wpengine. When I did that it generated a placeholder domain for the site XXX.wpgeninepowered.com. I bought the theme, installed it into the WordPress installation and built the site out. I then went and changed the domain from XXX.wpgeninepowered.com to the actual domain and then for some reason the theme wanted me to reenter the license key. When I try to do that it says it’s active already. But’s it’s the same install, same site, same everything. I did not create another site. It does not exist on two separate sites or seperate installs of WordPress. Just the one. It is some kind of glitch.
Hi
We have deregistered the old domain. Now you can register a theme on a new domain.
