We’ve had 4-5 double bookings within the last 2 weeks. I have cleaning day on the theme set to 1 to give some space between bookings but it doesn’t seem to be working. Customers keep being able to book over lap existing bookings or reserved dates on the first or last day.
Ie all the double bookings/overlaps are the day of drop-off/pickup.

We have not been able to reproduce this bug. Have you modified the theme or theme plugin code? Or maybe you can tell us the sequence of steps that cause the problem.
No we haven’t modified the theme or plugin code.
There’s no sequence of steps I’m trying to explain to you that we are getting double bookings that either overlap or booked the next day after a van is returned. I have the cleaning days set to 1 but it doesn’t actually block it out in the system or visually on the calendar a day after a booking.
But in your examples, it was quite different – there was a booking within a booking, not just a cleaning day overlay. This is what raised the question.
Can you give an example of an order where cleaning day was overlapped the first day of the next order?
Unlimited booking has never been enabled as it doesn’t work for us since we have only 1-2 versions of each campervan. Regarding examples I provided them above as the 1 cleaning day after doesn’t seem to be applied. For isntance the most recent booking on the https://www.dreamdrive.life/catalog/the-shogun/?start=04-08-2020&end=06-08-2020 is Aug 1-3 but I just checked and I can book the van from the 4th even though I have a 1 cleanign day applied.

The RV was booked for two nights with
01-08-2020 to 03-08-2020. You have one day for cleaning enabled.This RV cannot be booked from 03.08. It can only be booked from 04.08. If you have one day to clean it. If you disable the day for cleaning, the user will be able to book an RV from 03.08.The site has implemented booking of nights, not days. As on websites booking.com for example. If you book two nights from 01-08-2020 to 03-08-2020, this means that check-in and check-out time apply. For example, check-in time 2PM, check-out time 11AM. If the first customer returns the RV before 11AM 03.08, the second customer can book this RV from 2PM 03.08.
But you have added one day for cleaning, so the second customer can book this RV only from 2PM 04.08. If you need more time for cleaning, then set two days for cleaning in the settings
