Free Bookings can possibly happen 😮 if you select to rent a car for 23 hours for example and assuming you are renting cars by day (screenshot: “bug to take it free”). On the top of that, you set to rent a car for 36 hours let’s say and pay just for 1 day. (screenshot: “false charge1”) System isn’t time sensitive and combination of daily and hourly charge doesn’t work)

I know, but that’s not the solution. (I want to implement it for businesses who rent by day not by hour) The solution would be:
Rent less than 1 day : charge 1 day
Rent more than 1 day, charge:
- 1 day + extra hours
- or (1,5 days if it is <36h) and (2 day if it is >36h)
- or just 2 days
For example (80EUR/day and 5EUR/hour):
01.03 [11am] – 02.03 [8am]: charge 80Euros
01.03 [11am] – 02.03 [5pm]: charge 2days=160EUR or 1day+6hours=110EUR or 1,5day=120Eur
BUT NOTHING of these is happening. The booking engine is implementing an exclusive or (XOR), thus it is charging per hour or per day, being totally useless

Also, will it be possible to have more than single quantity by each car? This one is pretty obvious and fundamental for a marketplace.
Business A: has 20 “Audi A3”
Business B: has 30 “Audi A3”
Business C: has 15 “Audi A3”
In this case you need to have 65 different listings , which is insane instead of having just one with quantity “65” or even three listings with quantities 20,30 and 15 accordingly (even though it is not optimal it’s acceptable)

The reservation system is excessively complicated as there are many conditions besides the normal rental from date blocking to getting discounts, and if we attempt to handle a large number of bookings for one items , our work will become extremely challenging which is not very profitable considering our costs to support and create such a system.
If you have a huge fleet, you can disable date blocking after booking and provide customers with a car for the desired date.

I can understand and this is feasible if it’s for a single business, but not for a marketplace, because the management of something like this will be insane. Anyways…
